
Overview
The purpose of this program is to foster the development of weightlifting clubs in Nova Scotia. Active clubs are central to creating and supporting a competitive environment for the sport of weightlifting.
Registered clubs and their members enjoy a number of benefits from Weightlifting Nova Scotia.

To support their development, Weightlifting NS will provide Registered Weightlifting Clubs with:
Education & Certification
● Technical Officials Seminar and Level 4 Certification
● Advanced coach development (Learning Facilitator, Technical Official Level 2+)
● NCCP Coach Development support (courses, PD)
Branding & Identity
● Use of the WNS logo for club merchandise
● Co-branded “Registered Club” banner
Funding & Resources
● Access to Sport Nova Scotia Sport Fund (6x/year)
● – Equipment grants (75% grant / 25% club contribution)

Requirement
To be recognized as a Registered Weightlifting Club with Weightlifting Nova Scotia, a club must meet the following criteria.
Administration & Registration
● Submit completed WNS registration form
● Pay $100 annual Registered Club membership fee
Club Membership
● At least one staff member (coach) must be certified NCCP Competition Introduction trained or equivalent (burgener, Catalyst, CF L2, etc…)
